Guest guest
Eileen: Sounds like Adam has made wonderful improvement already! Great news he'll only need to wear the helmet at night now! He'll be out of it before it gets really hot & muggy . Thanks for the great update. Keep checking in. Guest guest
Hi Eileen! I just wanted to thank you for posting this update -- as somebody whose son is just beginning this process, it's great to hear from someone else who started relatively late and who is getting good results. My son 's initial measurement was 12, and I keep being told how much older he is than the average patient (he's 9.5 months now). Is Adam in a local helmet, or a DOC band or Star Band? I keep reading that the " active " style of helmet is more effective for older babies, but my clinic only works with the passive helmets. I was just curious about which style you have that is evidently working so well for your son! (And also how long your clinic will treat him -- mine keeps telling me that they basically stop treatment at 12 months). I hope his tort improves soon -- my son has tort as well. Are you getting physical therapy for that? 's ROM is improving, although he still tends to have the tilt especially when he's tired. Wishing you both all the best!! Giz. Mom to , 9.5 months and starting with his helmet next week. > Hi Everyone > > Adam had his checkup with the neurologist yesterday > and another 6 weeks have gone by.
