We had an appt. at 8 a.m. Friday for 's casting at the Cranial

Tech office in ATL. (He is 4 mos. old and was diagnosed with plagio

at his 4 mo. checkup 1 week ago.) It went really well. Poor guy, at

first was laughing and thought we were playing peek-a-boo when

the PT pulled the stocking over his head. He was okay for the first

few minutes but then started crying and squirming when he realized

that we weren't playing games. The PT had to redo some of the cast

because was squirming so much. Thank goodness she didn't have

to redo the whole thing! Anyway, it lasted maybe 20 min., 15 min. of

which was really crying, but once it was over and had a

bath he was all better. And he slept really well during the car ride

home from the appt.! All in all, it went really well, and I am SO

glad that we are getting started with the treatment now. The PT said

that has moderate to severe plagio plus a really tight neck

muscle (but not tort) that causes him to prefer looking to his left.

Oh, and it really helped that my husband was able to be there for the

appt. because it took the two of us to hold down while the PT

did her thing.

Holly & (casted 5/17)
