Gail~ I am wondering about that too. Grace has graduated from her helmet and while we are so pleased with the results I can't help wondering if because she also was young when she graduated (almost 8 months old) that maybe we should have gotten another helmet for any additional correction? I feel like now that I have become obesessed with her head and her face and that I am always looking for problems because I have been so uneasy about stopping the helmet therapy once she was finished. We took her in for her last appt with the orthotist last week as a followup since she has been out of her helmet for about 2 1/2 weeks now and he said that everything is as it should be and that childrens heads continue to round out up until 3 years old? I don't know? He says she looks great. And everybody else says she looks great and I feel like I am now being too critical of her. It is so hard to know if we did the right thing and if we are still doing the right thing!!

and Grace (helmet free and loving it!)

Gail~ I sure hope that the "wondering" phase ends soon and the "we did the best we could do and she looks great!" phase starts to kick in :) I feel like I am koo koo now and looking for problems with her head now. And of course my husband probably thinks I am koo koo too since he thinks she looks wonderful and I am always saying "Do you think that her head looks flat again" "Do you think that her ear and eyebrow on the tort side are way off" and on and on. I am glad she is too little for me to give her a complex!! Hey I say that dating think should work out great Grace was born Sept 13 so as long as he doesn't mind an older woman!! And of course that would be if her dad doesn't go through with his orignal plan of putting her in a convent!! Ha Ha

Thanks Debbie. I was hoping that this would be the case - that because Sam

is still pretty young he could possibly get more correction. I think I need

to drop by CT and pick up a copy of his " after " pictures so I have something

to compare.

,

We can't both be just imagining more correction, right? Do you think we will ever get past the "wondering if we should have done more" phase? I sure hope so. I really think that Sam looks a lot better than a lot of kids running around out there, so I need to remind myself of that and quit second guessing myself. Yes, I think I'm now an official member of the head police.

When is Grace's b-day? Sam and Sara were born Oct. 16th. Maybe we can set Sam and Grace up (in about 35 years when I let him date).
