Jill,

I had a vaginal ultrasound at 9 weeks and I don't remember any spotting. But everyone's pregnancy is different, so please keep that in mind.

Jill,

I had a vaginal ultrasound last year and experienced spotting like you mentioned. I believe it is perfectly normal. If you can't wait for the OB to tell you tomorrow, you could call the place you had the ultrasound done and I'm sure they would be happy to tell you if that's unusual or not. Good luck!

Jill,

I had this after every vaginal u/s. It's great that it's brown...means it's old blood. It's common after vag u/s, sex, internal exams while pregnant...the cervix is sensitive and engorged. Promise...it's normal.

Jill,

I have had so many vaginal ultrasounds that I lost count. My hubby thought I had a better relationship with Steve, the ultrasound guy, than I did with him. I had spotting after many of them. If it was brown, then it is "old" and nothing to worry about. It may even be from your cramping last weekend. I had brownish spotting off and on during my whole pregnancy with Sam and Sara, and every time I saw the doctor he said everything was fine. They finally decided that I had a low-lying placenta that would occasionally get a little scratch from my cervix. It was very unnerving for me, but everything was fine. Before you worry yourself sick, wait until you talk to your OB. Good luck.
