Guest guest
I have heard so many people say that they have not gotten any additional correction once their child stops wearing a band, but is there anyone out there who has gotten more correction? Sam outgrew his band, but he still has a pretty flat spot behind his ear. It isn't severe enough to warrant another band, but everyday I wonder if he couldn't have benefitted from another. He's only 7 1/2 months old and is in the middle of another growth spurt. My husband and I both think we noticed a change for the better in the last few days, but I don't know if it's just wishful thinking and we are just getting used to the way his head looks out of the band. He still has a slight tilt from the tort, and I know that it can be worse when they are tired or in a growth spurt, so sometimes he still rests on the flat spot when he's playing on the floor. He never sleeps on that spot, though, so the time is minimal on the flat part. Please let me know if you have or have not had additional correction, either way. Thanks. Guest guest
, Yep, your an official member of the head police- you can no longer just look at Grace's head- you will analyze it, scrutinize it, and look at angles you never would have imagined before all of this happened and you became so ultra educated on the matter. It's inevitable. I still look at ' head in the bath sometimes, and then satisfy myself that his ears haven't shifted back! It's almost like a sickness!! But, I have honestly stopped obsessing sooooo much, and I am really satisfied with the results we received. graduated at 8 months also, and I think CT did a great job. Your still fresh out of the gate, so within time you'll stop eating, thinking, dreaming head shapes and it will be a passing memory! It's taken me almost a year now, but I am mostly so focused on it because I stick around and talk about it- a lot- to help other parents that are in the shoes that I was in! Hope you will too! Guest guest
Hi Gail: Abby graduated from her DOCband at 15.5 mos almost one year ago. She's 27 mos old now, and I honestly can't say we've noticed any improvement since her graduation. If it has improved on it's own, it's been very slight change. Abby graduated " older " though, Sam is younger & has more time for his head to improve on it's own over the next 1.5 yrs. which I hope it will! Another of our group members, from CA, posted pics of her son a while back & he had very good improvement post band! I was very impressed, so it is definitely possible. Guest guest
Gail, Kaylie and Danny graduated from their bands at 12 months and 11 months, respectively. When they graduated, they both had some minor flatness, Kaylie right behind her left ear, and Danny's was flat in the back but towards the top. They both have had some additional rounding after they graduated. Danny corrected so much so that you can hardley feel, let alone see the flat spot. So it is definitely possible for there to be more correction for Sam!
