Guest guest
Just going to weigh in on these items. Here's the plagio preventing products we have used and our evaluation of them: Head and back to sleep: in no way does it prevent plagio. It does help us with positioning however as once they're asleep I can position their heads and more often than not thats how I find them when they wake up. So in terms of plagio prevention the " memory foam " is a bit of a joke, but it's worked well for us as a foundation for repositioning. Noggin nest: this thing rules. We use it in the swing, the bouncy chair, the car seat. We showed it to our cranio-facial plastic surgeon and he said anything that takes pressure off the back of the head like that is a good thing. Neck boppy: tried this prior to getting the noggin nest, and both Zack and Zoey HATED it around their necks. We have since begun to use a pillow in their play crib when they are doing their crazy flailing calisthenics under the mobile. We position the flat spot in the center of the ring then turn them loose. Boppy: so far they aren't great at sitting up without help, so we haven't really used this yet. I use them as a pillow while I supervise tummy time. Ken Zack and Zoey's dad

What's wrong with this picture? I had already asked my pediatrician why the back of my little 's head was " crooked " at 2mo's of age. She told me to reposition her and her head would round out. What she didn't realize was that had torticollis, so repositioning didn't work. I learned about 's tort on the internet after performing my search on plagio to see if what I read in the catalog is what had. After surfing the net till the wee hours of the morning and educating myself about plagio I realized that's what my daughter had, which was probably caused by torticollis. I was able to see a neurosurgeon, also referred from the internet after stumbling upon Cranial Technoligies' sight and 's in her DOC band now. Kudos to " One Step Ahead " , for promoting plagiocephaly awareness! , 's mom Southern California __________________________________________________
