Guest guest
Mandy, Not to butt in but I thought I might be able to give you some information...we live in the Phoenix area where it is already 110 degrees and Mackenzie was put in her band right before Memorial Day. She sweated like a pig for the first couple of days but that has definitely eased up. I just try to keep her inside during the hottest part of the day...if I do go out during the day I take her from an air conditioned car to someplace that also has a/c. Luckily, my husband finally cleaned out the garage so that I can park there so at least we always start off in a cool car. When we leave somewhere and the car has been parked in the sun, I always start the car and get the a/c running before I even think about putting her in the car. Plus we bought a fan and installed it in the back of our Outback so that Mackenzie gets a little more air movement. She is still rear facing so doesn't get much direct a/c. The fan has definitely helped...I don't know if I've helped or not but I thought I would let you know how we're currently handling the heat here in Arizona. Great idea about the extra fan too! was also rear facing at the time, but my car was small enough that the air circulated pretty quickly (Honda Civic EX- on its way out so I can get a new, bigger car too!)
