Guest guest
Hi all: I have a professor who has a child who is 15 months old. I was telling her about the DOC band, and she said that her son has plagio and tort (tort resolved) and she was wondering if DOC band works for 15 month olds (Debbie, I thought of you..) So, I am asking those of you who banded after 12 months (or specifically at 15 months) what your experience is, and I will print it out and bring it to her. Thanks in advance.... , Rhiannon's mom
Guest guest
: It's nice that you thought of me!! You probably already know our story, but I'll give it to you so you can print it out for your professor. Abby rec'd her DOCband at 11.5 mos with severe plagio.. Abby wore one DOCband for 4.5 mos., graduated at 15.5 mos of age with about 50- 60% correction which we are thrilled with! I have read of many other parents banding at " older " ages, of course I cannot remember of anyone who rec'd 100% correction, but most did get some improvement. Hope this helps! Wish your professor luck for us. Debbie Abby's mom 3/1/00 DOCgrad 2/16/01-6/22/01 > Hi all: > > I have a professor who has a child who is 15 months old. Guest guest
, did not start as late as 15 months old, but we have had sooo many other members in the past who started at 12 months or later (Debbie for one!) and had great success. The DOCband people will band up to 24 months so if a person had to get started with an older baby I guess the DOCband would be the way to go. I doubt 100% correction would be achieved starting at 15 months, but I would probably give it a shot if I were in that position. It's nice of you to be checking into this for your friend! I hope you get some good advice to share with her. Marci (Mom to ) Oklahoma
