Thanks for the compliments on my Mackenzie! We, of course, think she is

the most beautiful baby on earth! In regards to her band, I sent an

email to Margie, our orthotist here in Phoenix, this morning with pics

of Mac's head. She called me back early afternoon and told me what some

of you had told me which is that as her head grows to fit the band, the

band will become less able to move and will stay in place. She also

explained to me that the swelling around Mac's left eye is probably due

to the fact that babies have more fluid in their head and since there is

the pressure on her right forehead to compete against the bossing, the

fluid has to go somewhere so it goes to her left forehead causing the

swelling. That reassured me. She also gave me a lot of reassurance that

we're doing the right thing for Mac by not taking the band off. When we

originally picked up Mackenzie's band last Friday, her first adjustment

was supposed to be tomorrow. Even when we went in on Tuesday for the

unscheduled adjustment, Margie suggested keeping tomorrow's appt just in

case. So, it is still there if I need to take Mackenzie in tomorrow

depending on what happens tonight. Wish us luck!
