Guest guest
tucker also ended up getting colic and then we found out it was that he was allergic to my milk (can we say..here comes guilt)so we started the wonderful search for a formula.. - Dane is allergic to milk, soy, chocolate and peanuts (outgrew eggs). I am breastfeeding him and had to cut all of those things out of my diet. We found this out when he was about 8 weeks old. When I completely cut milk out of my diet and read ingredients, etc., I lost those last stubborn 7 lbs in a week! That part turned out to be a hidden blessing (have to make a positive out it!)! When you go to have #2 and have any questions about food allergies, latching on, etc, I'd be more than happy to help you. I am not a member of the La Leche League, but I know they are a great help too. That is awful about that intervention team. When Olivia was born, they sent a team of psychiatrists to speak with me. They said I had PPD. They wouldn't listen to me. I wasn't depressed. I had insomnia and hyperemesis graviderum from week 10-40 and just wanted to sleep and rest. They insisted I was depressed. I kept saying that I was just tired from throwing up and not sleeping for 7 months. That should have explained it! One said " Call me in a couple weeks when the depression gets so unbearable that you need a prescription. " It seemed that he was wishing PPD on me! I know it's a prob for many moms, but it seemed they wanted me to be depressed! Dane's mom DOC Grad
