Guest guest
Well Sydney has been banded for 3 days now and I woul dlove to report that she is doing great!! She has stopped crying and yesterday wore the band for four hours at a time without complaint. I think it helps that the temp here in Cincinnati dropped from 80's to mid 60's. She doesn't seem bothered and the last time I took the helmet off she did not even have a red mark anywhere! She even rolled over for the first time, guess those few extra ounces were all she needed to get her over. Even though she has a pre-colored Starband (abstract pink) I let my other three decorate it with stickers yesterday, figured they had to be involved in Sydney's therapy too. My six year old caught someone staring at Syd in the grocery store and cute as can be says " God isn't finished with her yet. It's okay. " I felt tears well up in my eyes; and thought to myself if the 6 year old can make this adjustment than so can the rest of us. Anyway, tonight we sleep with our band, hope all goes well. What a wonderful anniversary gift (6 years today). Thanks for all your help as our family makes our transition to the world of helmets. .
