Guest guest
It is not uncommon for a DOC Band to need some fine-tuning to the trimlines a few days after the fitting. Each DOC Band will sit a little differently on an individual child's head, due to the degree of deformation. Some may actually tilt and move, while others may not, depending on the child's head shape. I think a point not to forget is that every DOC Band Clinician has received extensive training in all aspects of the Band from fitting to adjustments. As points out, the Clinician cannot trim which will compromise your baby's treatment. Parents should always feel comfortable to come in to our Clinics, ask any question and share every concern regarding their child's care. Most children readily adapt to the DOC Band. However they are little individuals, and some may take longer than others to adapt. Although this can be frustrating to the parent, it is important to remember that a child is very sensitive even to aparent's non-verbal distress. I realize each parent's goal is to correct their child's head shape. Going through this treatment is not always easy, but hopefully worth all your effort in the end.
