Thanks for the info Glenn. And Congrats on the big move to gaining a

post-kid life!! I tell everyone that my goal is for to be out of the

house by 25, ( the others are by 22 ) and a lot of folks think I am being

mean or something. But I learned a lot from my mom and my sister, who is 40

and very mentally retarded. One of them was that social behavior is

critical and important ( to this day we can bring my sister anywhere and

she is socially appropriate, unlike a lot of her peers), another was that

time to myself is important ( so I can rest without too much guilt ) and

another was exactly what you are doing...have a post-kid life ( my sister

has been in an very large group home/facility since 22..and before that our

only education options were live-in as well). So I say..congrats and thanks

for letting us know some of our future!! ine

Sharon, after you’ve registered you can post. Click on any area that you want to read…at the top of each message there, or even if there is no message there but it’s ready for a new message, at the top of the message box (slightly to the right) it says ‘new thread’; click on that and a blank message comes up for you to post.  Or, if you’re reading a message, you can go to the bottom the message, below it you will see ‘quick message’ you can type a posting in there to reply to the message.  Let me know if you have any more question. Sharon, there are selections on the whole page; General is at the bottom, talk about anything you want….all the other ones are identified what they are and that’s where you post other things than general.  We’ll also be making a blog for you probably tomorrow.
