Hi all.. I only do the " cheater's soap " ... M & P... hehehe

I think you do many very creative people a disservice by looking at M & P this

way. I make soap using the hot process and I also use M & P base. A different

way to look at it is to consider the several ways to make soap as mediums.

Like oil and acrylic paints, these mediums offer different options. M & P is a

wonderful medium for a person who wants to explore the area of color. For

instance, I am making crystals and soaps that resemble mineral specimums. I

could never do this with hot process soap. Whenever you have the

opportunity, check out what others have done with this medium. You may be

inspired to try some of these techniques yourself.

Long ago, I even think it was on this list, someone steered me away from the

craft store M & P base, suggesting that I try some base from a good supplier. I

did and it also made a big difference in my soaps, so that they were also

non-drying to the skin, and contained little or no smell.

All the best,

Vivian from Pa
