Guest guest
Beth, Hi and welcome to the group. Typically I have heard most parents say that their child has had no problems adjusting to wearing the helmet/band. My son also had no problem with wearing it, including sleeping in it- and he remained a happy little fella throughout the duration of wearing it. Some parents have described fussiness and problems sleeping with it, but I think the majority of children have no problem adjusting. With your child only 6 months, you should see great results as growth spurts are just bounding to take shape. We have had a few members from Australia and I hope they will also share their experience with you. Good luck and keep us posted on how your little one is doing! Guest guest
Beth, Hello and welcome! I'm glad you are able to get help with your baby's plagio in Australia. When I first came aboard here about 1.5 years ago, the members of our group from Australia found it nearly impossible to get help there! I'm thrilled to hear that your baby is going to start treatment at such an ideal age! That is great news. How did she do with the casting? My daughter got a locally made helmet at 9 months and never cared one bit about it being on her head. It didn't affect her mood or sleeping in the least although I was positive that it would before we actually got the helmet. Best wishes and I hope that all goes well for your baby. Please keep us posted. It's good to hear of treatment options in Australia. Marci (Mom to ) Oklahoma
