Guest guest Posted February 4, 2012 Report Share Posted February 4, 2012 When my son was in Kindergarten for the first few months I would get notes home about that day's issues and problems.. I finally sent a note in return...I said something like..Dear Teacher, Do you realize that all I ever hear from you is about my child's mistakes. Every day I get a note home on his problems. I am fully aware that he has plenty of issues and things to learn. I deal with them every day. I am working on them on my end. My biggest concern right now is that if you haven't yet found something positive to comment on. You are really missing out on all the very amazing, wonderful things about him. She then requested a conference and Colin did wonderfully in his class..I think she thought I was in denial or something. I knew that Colin would not be at the same level as most of the rest of her class. That kindergarten teacher was then amazing and went well beyond trying to find ways to reach out and help Colin.
