Guest guest
I wouldnt think you would lose much, maybe vitamin c since it breaks down quickly in light, but then again the fridge is dark most of the time... your smoothie might separate though and have to be mixed... I am thinking of trying to make them the night before and store it in a mason jar in the fridge. I am wondering if anyone has any knowledge/opinion about how much of the health benefits I may be losing by not drinking it until 10 hours later? Obviously better than not having one at all, but just curious, thanks! Marnie
Guest guest
Hello Marnie,Excellent question! If you bookmark this page:/links…you will find that I've linked to the topics that I think are most important. This page is constantly being added to, so it is a great page to bookmark and check out from time to time to see if there is anything new! There is also a folder on that page for recipes - I do the same thing for that folder… add what I think are really good recipes. On the links page, there is a link titled, "How Long Can You Store Vitamix Juice?" Guest guest
I have split mine, drinking half one morning and put rest in a mason jar, then drinking the other half either later that day or the next morning. I gotta figure it is better nutrition even after hours than I would be getting in any commercial smoothie and many other breakfast foods. I do leave out lemon rind (I often use a single slice of the whole lemon in mine) if I plan to store it as sometimes the lemon rind or white part leaves it a little bitter, which I don't notice if I drink it right away.
