Guest guest
Hi Emerald, I am hoping a veteran soapmaker will help you out here, but right off, I can say you will have soft soap with this much caster oil. Caster is a wonderful emollient. It is one of those things where a little goes a long way. As little as one ounce will give you the blubbles you want. Kathy 's web site has an extensive section on the property of oils. Also. I have found through tough mistakes that it is wise to always, even when given a printed recipe, to run it through a lye calculator just to know where you are for superfating, etc. Good luck All the best, Vivian from Pa > From: " Emerald " <emerald@...> > Subject: does this recipe sound ok > > > Hi everyone, > > well here I am again with a recipe check. you all offer such good advice I > wanttop take advantage of yoru knowledge. > here is my recipe. any sage advice from the experts out there?? > > I am looking for sudsy and moisturizing. and nice smelling for men > > Olive Oil 24 oz > Palm Oil 12 oz > Coconut Oil 20 oz > Castor Oil 6 oz > Sweet almond oil 4 oz > beeswax 2 oz > Lye 9.54 oz > > Liquid 22 oz > (half goats milk and half water) > > fragrance oils sandlewood & musk & patchouli > > any advice ? > >
