Guest guest
Yanni, I have been through a lot in my life and if I told you just the last 10 years, you would find it unbelievable. I have always tried to have a positive outlook on anything and do believe that things happen for a reason. What I do not understand is how a " Company " or workplace can sit by while someone that worked for them loyally for years is trying very hard to live. Because of their practice of ignoring the health affects of mold or anything else in the " air " , innocent people suffer. I still try to have a positive outlook even though I can not stand long, sit long, lay down long, breathe long, eat much, concentrate on anything long, hurt all the time, and the list continues. I am positive that they will be held accountable for what has happened. It may take awhile but right now all I have is time. Since I have no money, food, phone, gas or medications....ALL I HAVE IS TIME TO THINK OF THIS. Yes...I am positive that I am sick and do not have any help except to get the IVIG's every 4 weeks just to keep me alive. I am positive that I have to wear a mask where ever I go because anything will make me sicker or kill me. Yes....I am positive and thank GOD that I am still here today but the suffering has got to stop. Not just for me but for the thousands of innocent people that have had this awful illness come upon them. My voice will be heard and so will the members of this group that sent their story's to me. I will do everything I can to make sure that it will be a " Positive " outcome for everyone. Yanni, I am very glad that you have come above all this and are doing better but I am not there yet. I pray every day to feel like you do. I am positive that I will be some day but till then, please excuse those of us who have not arrived to that level yet. Sincerely, Marcie drzack52 <drzack@...> wrote: Dear Members, I have been following your posts and reading all of the discussions on this board for quite some time. I know that some my take offense at what I'm about to say, but I'm ready to take that chance. I am truly sorry for all of the serious medical conditions that everyone is facing. As you know, I am also suffering from life- threatening exposure to stachybotris, chaetomium, aflatoxins, satratoxins, and secondary exposure to Methamphetamines, Heroin and Cocaine. Not only did the house have these toxic Molds, but it had also been used as both a Crack House and Meth Lab. I nearly lost my life. In spite of it all, I am still here. One of the ways I have found to get myself better, besides diet and exercise, is to always have a positive atitude and not focus on my disability or illness. I hardly ever talk about it anymore to anyone, and I'm finding that the symptoms when they do occur are not as bad. That, coupled with a strong faith in God is what has kept me going. Recently, I have read many stories about people who have gone through numerous trials in their life as well as crippling and debilitating illnesses. One of the themes which constantly appeared throughout all of these people's stories was that they always kept a positive attitude and did not focus on their illnesses by constantly giving it " voice " . That is what helped them to beat the odds and remain alive. I have gotten to the point where I too have found that if I do not discuss or talk about my illness, but focus on the positive things in life( that I am alive) and withmy strong faith in God, I am and will be able to continue and survice and enjoy my life. As a former educator with over 20 years working with all ages- young children to adult learners, I always stressed in developing in them a positive mental attitude for success. I am now applying what I said to myself- and I am seeing results. Yanni FAIR USE NOTICE:

Guest guest
, Very well said. Stay " MAD AT MOLD " and hopefully we can all overcome this illness and our feeling of ignored by the " companies " . ( Just hope the " companies " have a positive attitude.) LOL! Guest guest
Great post, Marcie. I agree with you--there are those on this list who HAVE recovered, & I'm truly glad for them. However: those people who have recovered (partly, or mostly) have to remember that there are those of us on the list who will NEVER be better. Our health & our lives have been destroyed by all this, & NO medicine will make us 100% well, ever again. That's part of the reason I'm SO angry. Despite any methods I try to do, for example, its never going to re-myelinate my spinal cord. It's never going to give me back my bowel & bladder control. It's never going to prevent me from having future surgeries that are necessary, for me to continue the " lifestyle " I now have. (Which is FAR from good--I've already had 3 surgeries since my onset of this illness!). Each and EVERY step I take I have to take with a conscious effort...to avoid tripping over my own toes, & so I don't fall down. Tell me, somebody--how do you have a totally POSITIVE outlook, when you can't even walk? When you have pain 24/7, & many other issues? Don't get me wrong, everybody on here: I am NOT complaining. I've come a VERY long way, for a gal who was never supposed to walk again. I have a strong faith in God also, & I know He allowed me to become this sick so I could attempt to educate others--but at the same time, I want MY life back! It's true that there are many sick people on this site. Just remember: some are far sicker than others, & it's not up to ANY of us to judge others. Guest guest
THANKS VICTORIA, Sometimes some people feel " there way " was the best or " there way of thinking " is the best but what we have to understand is everyone is different. Believe me, if all I had to do now was think " DON'T WORRY....BE HAPPY " and sing a couple of bars of it, I would. I know, with what little bit of brain matter that is functioning now, that will not work for me. Sure I get depressed but if you knew what I have been through in my life and to come to this, it is very disheartening. I do smile at funny things and beautiful things outside but I don't have very many things to smile about. I am hoping that changes and am praying for that to change but there are a lot of mean, stupid people out there that say.... " Mold, no way will that make you sick. " I lay in bed some nights just wanting to get into these people's faces and say " Wake up, look at me. " I was not like this before the exposure. I am tired of my Police Officer friends saying " What happened to you, or where is the rest of you? " Or " you USED to be the strongest woman we knew. " I do try to stay positive or else I would give up on trying to help as many people as I can just getting the story out. ( And it will get out.) Sincerely, Marcie <toria@...> wrote: Great post, Marcie. I agree with you--there are those on this list who HAVE recovered, & I'm truly glad for them. Guest guest
AMEN, MARCIE..........MORE POWER TO US ALL! I've had a very tough life too, Marcie, but perhaps those parts of our lives just led up to this point, & it helped make us stronger persons. Things DO happen for a reason. I know my reason, as I know you do, too. The first time I was able to actually stand up again (between parallel bars), my physical " terrorist " (lol!) said " have you always been so stubborn? " Perhaps thats the reason I'm still here, you know? I have a saying I coined somewhere along this awful road. My saying is that " We become stronger persons after the adversity we ourselves endure. Guest guest
I remember when I had to learn how to walk again after that bad back surgery. One PT told me to slow down in the hallway. I laughed so hard, here I was on a walker with only two whells and they are telling me to slow down. ( Like the wind was blowing through my hair) LOL! Just how fast did they think I could go???? LOL! Guest guest
Exactly! I used to wonder how they did that, when people would tell me (calmly, yet!) that everything they had ever been and every place they had ever been had led them to exactly this moment, and that was ok. Now I understand what they meant. I'm not here because this is peaceful or pleasant or good. I'm here because there are things to be done, and I can do them. (Yup. Rescue Rabbit. That's me. Or maybe, that's - she's the speed demon. : ) <toria@...> wrote: AMEN, MARCIE..........MORE POWER TO US ALL! As you say: " Wake up, look at me " . It is literally as though a large portion of their empirical senses are completely disabled. It would be interesting to study the " disbelief response " in supposedly " normal/sane " people to determine what type of mental block can induce such a profound state of oblivion. After a few years in bed, I crawled outside one beautiful summer day and said " Now isn't this strange. I feel SLIGHTLY less bad out here. Wonder why? I really need to look into this! " Glad I did. I try to be humble, but I get so mad when faced with this. The Environmental Allergists are trained to believe the patients, but they don't seem to be aware of the biotxin pathway, so may not be of much use to many people. When I saw my doc, I wanted to cry- I was all braced for the skepticism, disbelief and blame I had received before, and they just , well, BELIEVED ME. And thanked me for making their job so much easier by writing up such a detailed and excellent history. SIGH......of relief..... They were angry about my treatment by other health " professionals " , but were very happy they could help me.......

Guest guest
Hi Marcie: Sorry for the delay; my keyboard died on me (my fault, I spilled hibiscus tea on it) and couldn't send emails until I got a new one! I'm sorry you are not doing well; please be careful what you use even thought it is alternative. With you receiving IVIG, you must be very careful of taking anything which could alter its action in your body. You have to know how the IVIG is metabolized in your body, exactly what it does, what part of your immune system it stimulates and be careful to not select any alternative or OTC/Rx drugs that would conflict with its intended actions. For example, we know those receiving chemo for cancer should not use Echinacea and a few other popular OTC herbs because they would alter how they chemo is cleared through the P450 liver enzymes. That's something a lay person cannot easily determine. FYI I'm an herbalist and don't use nor would recommend Garden of Life's products like fungal defense and their other products but that's only my humble opinion. I don't trust them or any products that have " proprietary ingredients " . This company grew too quickly too fast mostly due to some remarkable marketing skills and they are very costly. What brand of Oregano Oil did you use? Was it 100% pure essential oils of Oregano or the diluted form? FYI, I wouldn't use it internally and am not as ill as you. I would recommend topical use only diluting the pure oregano oil perhaps 10 drops to an ounce of culinary oil and rubbing that on the sole of your feet or using some other " antifungal pure essential oils (there are others that have been used for fungal infections, a www.pubmed search will pull them up) or try rubbing some crushed fresh garlic on the bottom of your feet; the garlic will be absorbed through your skin into the blood stream and into your lungs (seriously). I used to demonstrate to my clients the importance of being aware that our skin does absorb much that touches it and would have them crush some fresh garlic, rub on the bottom of their feet and within 1/2 hour they would exhale the garlic. That woke them up! In my humble opinion, the fungal defense is not appropriate for you and is too strong for you; you are too weak, too immune suppressed, and I have a feeling your digestive functions are not good. Your poor intestines are probably compromised, you probably have leaky gut and hard time digesting and assimilating foods plus food allergies. This formula is not for you. True clinical herbalism is not matching an herb or formula to a symptom, but taking a long medical and diagnostic intake and assessing the vitality and constitution, lifestyle, emotions and ability of the client and then suggesting some starting points which the client is able to comply with. We need to take into account the constitution of the person meaning is the person basically hot, cold, dry or moist. Many formulas especially the detox formulas are cold and drying in nature and if we give those formulas to someone who is cold in nature and dry we can further damage their constitution. We also need to take into consideration the environment where the client lives. Is it hot and dry or hot and damp, cold and dry or cold and damp. Herbs actions are changed by the environment. I'm sure you have experienced that yourself such as when the weather changes dramatically and the food you could eat before the change now causes adverse effects for you. Same with herbs. I recall when I first became ill from the mold, I couldn't tolerate anything sweet, sticky, mucous forming or foods that are considered damp. I loved sweet potatoes but couldn't eat them. I become so upset when all I read is " detox " but people are too toxic and too weak to detox until we first build them up and then slowly begin the detox process. I'm sure your Sister in the health food store means well and is trying to help you; however she needs to understand your specific condition and what is safe and specific for you not for a " symptom " . Hope this makes sense to you. You shared " I have spots in my lungs and body and they are Granulomatous lesions. They were diagnosed after a Cat Scan " . When did you have the Cat Scan and what did our physician say about these lesions and what protocols where suggested? You might consider starting a daily food/symptom log, record everything you eat and drink and record your systems, no matter how insignificant. Try to determine your food intolerances and find foods that agree with your body so you body can get the nutrients it needs. Its time consuming, difficult but can be done especially since you do not have the finances for appropriate medical care. Marcie you are a fighter, you are pro-active; take that energy you have and focus it 100% on YOU for the time being, researching your illness, the action of the IVIG you are taking, how it affects your body, what substances and foods you can use that will compliment the IVIG protocols, put on your detective hat, get to know your body and how it responds to different foods and environments, record all that.......focus your energy on you, your healing and then you will have the health and strength to help others and become pro-active again for other causes. You need to come first right now. Email if you have questions, Rosie Re: [] Re: Ways to Deal with your Illness > Thanks Rosie.....you were thinking clearer than I was. :-) > Marcie >
Guest guest
I could not agree more with this. I have used alternative medicines for years, almost exclusively (but I still need occasional drugs, either OTC or pres.). However, I have been very careful to find a practitioner that I trust, that does not have conflict of interest (as in a chiropractor that makesmoney off of selling the stuff they tell me I need), and is a good person, that I consider to have a good character. Some of this is a personal feeling, but the others are fairly easily determined. For example, (please, I mean no offense to any practitioners out there, this is only my opinion), I have gone to some doctors of Traditional Chinese Medicine, but have only used persons from China, I know the training there to be very rigorous and thorough, and they are quite aware of what their herbs do and the effects on the organs, etc. I trust their herbs, as they have been doing it for a couple of thousand years. But the first thing is, is it helping? I also have used chiroparctors, but have also been careful to choose those that do not have the conflict of interest. There have been very few places I can go and drs I can see, what with all my problems in public places, so that also enters into it. Sometimes, I have to go for quite a while without help of that sort, due to being housebound from the reactivity. The suggestions about the climate, seasons etc are all familiar from my appts with my chinese dr. They really do affect me, and my food tolerances also- which are changing again, to my irritation. It is good to hear your sound advice, thanks, even tho it wasn't for me. --- In , " Healthier4All " <Healthier4All@h...> wrote: > > Hi Marcie: > > Sorry for the delay; my keyboard died on me (my fault, I spilled hibiscus > tea on it) and couldn't send emails until I got a new one! > > I'm sorry you are not doing well; please be careful what you use even > thought it is alternative. Guest guest
Rosie, Thank you for the information. I knew that the Fungal Defense made me sick, Yoou were to work up to 8 pills a day and I could not get my system to take more than 5. And that made me very ill. My doctors are not saying anything about the lesions in my lungs or body. I have them everywhere in my body. You are right , my digestive system is very bad. Thank goodness KC told me about Papaya Enzymes. They work very well but I have to take Aciphex also. I do not digest food properly and hence all the weight loss. I went from a size 14 to a size 6-8 in approx. eight months. I am still not gaining any weight. I am extremely weak all the time even after an IVIG infusion. I will have another IVIG on 11/30 and they will do more blood test to see if it needs to be increased again. The Oil Of Oregano I took was 100% pure. I can't remember the brand. ( White and gold bottle) My sister is trying to help but she says she knows everything but I try to tell her about mold illness but she does not understand what it can do to people. She just keeps telling me that I don't have to feel this way. Believe me I don't. She says I need to take high does of Fungal Defense but I keep telling her it makes me very ill. I had my Cat Scan in June of 2004 but did not find out my Immune System had crashed until March of this year. I had another Cat Scan this past Sept. because the hospital thought I had a Pulmulnary Embollisum (sp?) I did not thank goodness. Had chest pains and my BP dropped to 51/33. The blood test revealed that my Potassium level was very low. I had quit taking the Rx for Pot. that the doc gave me because I could not afford it. I am now back on it. Back to the digestive system....is that why I hurt in the stomach area all the time. It feels like someone took a baseball bat to that area. How many other people on this group have the same problem after being exposed to Mold? I am glad KC told me about the digestive Enzymes. Group...if you have not tried them, I would sugest trying it. KC has alot of good ideas that really work. Why does the Immune System crash after being exposed to Stachybotrys or other mols? Anyone know? Thanks, Marcie Healthier4All <Healthier4All@...> wrote: Hi Marcie: Sorry for the delay; my keyboard died on me (my fault, I spilled hibiscus tea on it) and couldn't send emails until I got a new one! Guest guest
Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker in Pocomoke, MD. CSM is a powder you mix with water or juice then drink 4X a day to rid your system of toxins. I've been a paitent for 2 yrs. and believe me it works!! I saved an excellent posting from just a few days ago on how it works and I couldn't explain it better myself. The CSM molecular chain binds to water on one end (which is the water you mix it with), and with fat on the other end - which is where the toxins are for a while, as they cycle through your system. Once, bound, they form a molecule too large to be reabsorbed through the intestinal wall, and go straight into the sewer where normal people would have sent them ages ago. It doesn't pass through your kidneys or bladder at all. For that to happen, the whole molecule would have to be reabsorbed, and that's exactly what doesn't happen. (It might reabsorb some of the water, but I don't think it can grab the water melocules that are still bound to the CSM.) You can observe the first part of this when you mix CSM powder in a clear glass or bottle of water. The CSM will mix (grudgingly), but then settle to the bottom. It won't stay suspended for long, because it's heavier and bigger than water molecules. I haven't tried mixing it with water AND liquified fat of some kind, but I know that if you did, it would bind with some of each, and you'd then have something even bigger and heavier that would sink to the bottom of the oil as well and the excess water would float in the middle. Heh - where's Mr. Wizard when you need him?
