LOL!  I've done that and found parts of the sticker stuck on the blade.

So another day, and another green drink.... Takes some getting used to, havent been a big breakfast person in the past.. But some spinach, a banana, an orange, an apple and a pear.... quite tasty!  I realized that as the drink was mixing, I left the sticker on the apple with the bar code (briefly saw it spin by in the container).... but figured it couldnt hurt much, extra fiber!

LOL, have a good day everyone!

If I did this (4 servings of fruit for breakfast), I'd be craving carbs all day, AND having a blood sugar moment 2 hours later.IMNHO, anyone who is overweight is sabotaging themselves by doing this.I speak from experience, having been morbidly obese at one time (obese for most of my life, actually).

I urge you to sub a cuke, celery, more spinach for that fruit - add stevia, if need be, or better yet, garlic and ginger; protein powder, a squirt of flax oil, some chia or flax seeds . . . make it support your weight loss goals.

Hi ,I am 100% where you are - going low on the glycemic index really helps me a lot. My green smoothies lately are a blend of apple, ginger, and lemon (or lime) with one clove of garlic, (all fiber included) plus the fiber-free juice of a POUND of greens! However, just wanted to add, that when I first started doing Green Smoothies I did it at the same time that I got off of all forms of wheat and sugar, and at that time, I did fine with ANY fruits (including high glycemic bananas and pineapple, etc.)I think that the fruit sugars (I never ate fruits prior to Green Smoothies) along with the minerals and nutrients they were providing made my transition away from refined sugars and wheat much easier. For some people baby steps and trial and error work best. I never would have consumed back then what I am happily drinking today...

,

I noticed what you noticed, too, about using a lot of fruit in a green smoothie.

I cannot afford to have much sugar in my diet since I still need to lose some

weight, and I don't want to develop type 2 diabetes.

After my new Vitamix arrives in about 10 days, I will follow your suggestion

about adding flaxseed oil. I bought some directly from Barlean's a couple of

months ago, and couldn't really find a good way to use it (it's sitting in my

refrigerator). So, I think putting it into a green smoothie is a great

suggestion, plus making the smoothie more satisfying.
