Guest guest
He is probably spraying something that deadens one's sense of smell.. What a smart guy.. NOT. FYI, A better approach for them to prevent mold smell would be to use window fans- blowing in - to push the smell into the building walls - thats from fans blowing in- put fans in the windows blowing in. Not out.. Suction from the walls would increase the smell. The smell of hell. This positive air pressure thing is what I do to try to keep the mold out of my apartment. (Its basically futile, though, as you know, because when your whole building is mold-ridden, any really strong wind can end up doing the reverse, pushing mold out of the walls into your spaces.. Welcome to my nighmare...) Fans can easily end up doing that too, if you screw up, so whatever you do, DON'T put your window fans on reverse, blowing out. At least, keep at least twice as many fans blowing in than out... Please.. Guest guest
All this fan blowing, whether or not it helps is only going to be possible during the appropriate outside temperature. I truly am sorry for all the people who live in spaces that you cannot control. In 1991, I was sickened severly while living in the city,by mold in cushions that where on an outside deck, blowing in a window- I had to let my partner work while I went to the country to recuperate- the smells everywhere in the city left me litterally on my knees on the sidewalk gagging. I am in a rural area now- and am still sometimes bothered by neighbors- but nothing like the city- I think you still have to try and move-I don't mean out of the city- though that might help-but to a better apt. you cannot get well in a moldy bui;ding- Your job- your friends- nothing will matter if you are too sick to function> I know- Have been there- good luck Barb > He is probably spraying something that deadens one's sense of smell.. > What a smart guy.. Guest guest
When my mom was in her moldy condo the management would spray air freshner throughout the building. She would complain but to no avail. She is finally out of that moldly condo. And this was a very expensive place. It is a shame.
