Guest guest
I do like saunas, they make me feel better. Usually I take baths with salt, there are other things that some find helpful to put in a bath. But, YES, drinking purified water really makes a difference for me too. Also avoidance whenever possible, which is spotty. Some friends of mine use enemas to get the toxins out of the gut- I have not yet tried that. The toxins get reabsorbed from the gut into the bloodstream. The detox of sweating bypasses that system to directly get it out of the skin. It helps me to get the sweat off ASAP, because I reabsorb it back into my skin if it stays there. I have really been helped by many alternative therapies. But many of them are not safe to be left around children, and just because they are herbal or whatever, doesn't mean they are without risk. The dose makes the poison. Many medications cause similar kinds of damage. Tylenol causes kidney damage, for example. I believe no drug is completely safe, but given the nature of our bodies is to heal itself given half a chance, side effects and risk seem like they would go up the sicker someone is. I heard a friend used oil of oregano from the book you mentioned (the same brand as) for her family and her son regained his health after many years. It was some kind of fungal infection, and the docs would not diagnose it. So she took care of her family herself, and now they are fine. I just think all medicines, whether medical or herbal need to be treated with respect.
