Guest guest
Mycotoxins are poisons that are often very powerful, even in doses too small to see. That is why they are used as biowarfare and bioterrorism weapons. The use of solvents, various liquids, etc. in a place where detectable levels of these biotoxins exists can have the effect of concentrating them into lethal amounts. Also, chronic low-level of exposure to (typically) multiple biotoxins appears to often cause long-lasting, extremely complex sets of multiple damages to the body, especially the immune system, liver and kidneys - something much like " Gulf War Syndrome " that can be difficult for doctors to diagnose and treat. That is why mold exposure is such a difficult medical problem. Also, people who have been exposed to carcinogenic mycotoxins really need to be monitored for cancer for the rest of their lifetimes, because the chances of them getting it are much increased. Do a medline search for aflatoxicosis AND cancer That is why COMPLETE AND TOTAL REMEDIATION with the BEST TECHNOLOGY AVAILABLE, WHATEVER THE COST, is the ONLY way to go when dealing with toxic molds. Otherwise, in cases of severe mold damage, I would suggest BURNING the building down, covering it with several inches of clean earth, and building over. In the long run, that could end up being much cheaper. Mycotoxins are bioterror agents. Look at how we treat them. Intentionally exposing tenants to bioterror agents - weapons of mass destruction - could be construed as bioterrorism. If so, isn't it just dead toxic matter that needs to be removed. Not alive spores. Loni > > " Carl E.
