Notice how its ALLERGISTS and IMMUNOLOGISTS speaking. My first thought

was that 'they do NOT want those damn TOXICOLOGISTS (or oncologists,

or environmental specialists or whatever..) 'stealing' 'their'

BUSINESS away from them, no matter WHAT. '

But SCIENTISTS are supposed to be SCIENTISTS, not political.. These

guys are basically defending their turf.. Nobody in any science can

irrefutably 'separate fact from fiction' by this kind of statement. To

me, at least, it looks like what a friend used to call 'proof by

vigorous gesticulation'.

Given a choice between alternate beliefs, almost all people WILL

GRAVITATE TO WHAT THEY WANT TO BELIEVE, *especially if the evidence

they don't want to believe is disturbing*.. (this was what Leon

Festinger called 'Cognitive Dissonance Theory' - 50 years ago, a

theory now pretty much estabished as a fact... You might also want to

take a look at the concept of (typically wrong) " Groupthink' as

explained by Irving Janis...

Some mold reactions ARE caused by allergies.. SOME... not all..

Allergies go away.. Some damage heals..

Other damage doesnt.. or worse, like DNA damage, (lots of mycotoxins

do this - any SCIENTIST who knows this field will tell you) which can

cause cancer.

Doesn't always.. but - in amounts between 0% and 100% - amounts that

vary depending on situations that CAN be quantified, often do..

:o

Be VERY afraid of any " experts " *who tell you not to worry when they

are describing a class that includes hundreds of known poisons- some

extremely toxic.*
