Movie Script dealing w/ Downs

Hello Members,

I am a screenwriter who has written a screenplay about a new family that has a

child born with Downs Syndrome, and I'd like to see what you think. I assume

this group is mostly for family members of those with Downs, and not so

much general interest in related topics. So with that in mind if this email is

of no interest to you please just disregard it, and pay it no mind.

Anyway, I came up with the idea for this movie script, by wanting to combine two

general ideas. First, I wanted to expose successful people with superficial,

self indulged, manipulative, lying and cheating personality types for what they

really are. I decided I didn't want to expose them to general society, but

instead to them selves. Second, I have heard (and experienced from a distance)

the dramatic and positive effect that Downs Syndrome can have on entire family's

and it's individual members. A life changing surprise in disguise so to speak,

that I thought could work well to counteract the previous negative personality

types I had mentioned.

So anyway, with these ideas in mind I wrote the screenplay. I am currently

trying to get signed by an Agent as a screenwriter or have my work produced so

I'm seeking an connections possible as well as just trying to get my voice out

there. So by all means feel free to read and review my material if you like!

However, I must warn you the script does contain EXPLICIT MATERIAL and it is NOT

FOR EVERYONE! It is a very dark drama, there is foul language, there is

substance abuse, and material (that in minimal sections of dialog) could be

considered discriminatory or offensive within context.

To defend this however, I too am taken back by many of these things, and in many

ways my two main characters actually disgusted me in many ways in writing this

as the story unfolded. I stayed true to their characters though as much as I

despised them at times, even knowing where they were going, I did not want to

take any short cuts. I must also admit that I did cry a bit when these

characters did finally start to change and except change in their lives.

Overall, they actually become really good positive people in the end, but they

must give up everything to gain it all!
