Guest guest
Hi Ernest, I thought you could do better than 'what's on hand soup'. Really, you're not trying!! I know this sortof soup, or indeed stew (depending on if I'm feeling carnivorous) as enthusiasm soup (or stew). Why? Because you put everything into it! Sound familiar? Best regards mate, but you'll have to try harder. Doug. :~) This is really a message from Doug. Guest guest
I suppose that I could go to the store and buy mushrooms! Most of my meals are planned around whats on hand. I have a large garden and I prefer my produce to that in the supermarket. I occasionally go to the farmer's market and sometimes get some things from the Youth Farm. Maybe there should be a soup group. ew Question > Date: Fri, 23 Jan 2009 09:16:23 -0500 > > Hi Gang - wanted to know if anyone does a sprouted bean soup. Guest guest
Hi Ernest; A Soup Group sounds like a great idea -- do I remember correctly that you got a great big soup book for Christmas? You could lead a soup of the week group... Love your What's On Hand Soup!! I make something similar that I call In The Fridge Salad! Guest guest
I have been Yes and No about Rheumatoid Arthritis. My last Rheumy tested me and the blood work came back positive but my # was low. She told me I have it but it wasn't bad yet but said to expect it to cause problems eventually. That was about 2 1/2 years ago and then last summer when I changed my regular doc to an Internal Med doc, I told her this and she checked it and told me with my count she doesn't consider me as having it. Sometimes, I think we can have too many doctors!!!! The reason for this Question is that the last doc I went to told me that I don't have RA. But in but in 74, 76 and then in 77 I was told that I had RA and there was nothing I could do about it. I called my old family doc that had taken care of me since birth and he told me the only way to deal with RA was to move it has now been years but my knees work, they just hurt 24/7 may

I don't know that I've ever had clover sprouts so someone else will have to address that. My advice would be to try them again in a few days to see if they make you feel the same way. So long as the reaction isn't life-threatening, it's good to test it a few times to see if it was the food or a coincidence. I've found that quinoa sprouts and garbanzo sprouts don't agree with me after multiple testings but I haven't had any problems from eating any other type of sprout thus far. Guest guest
I think it is a little sweeter, I find alfalfa a little bitter. Although I haven't sprouted alfalfa myself I think I've read they have a similar grow time. Guest guest
No, this is not a normal sensation. My advice is that you are likely allergic to clover, Oneida. I would not eat the clover ones again, if I were you. If you decide to test it, to see if it were simply a coincidence, and it happens again, please be careful of ever eating them again. I had a similar reaction to almonds. Unfortunately, it took me some time to isolate that it was the almonds. By the third exposure, the reaction was fairly bad. Scared me to pieces! Thing is, organic almonds don't do that to me, and regular almonds years ago didn't either. I can only surmise that the culprit (for me and almonds) is the chemical that is now being used to pasteurize non-organic almonds since the new law was passed. Be careful!
