Guest guest
I have a possible suggestion. Could you add the milk you plan to use for the milkshake or at least part of it and run the VM until the milk warmed enough to melt loose the nut butter, and emulsify it together, then add the rest of the milk and ice to cool it to desired milkshake temp? Just tossing ideas around in my hear, though sure Lea Ann will have a good suggestion. Velda On 1/1/2012 12:08 PM, MO wrote: > Thanks for this recipe, Lea Ann. Tried to make a milk shake with what was left in the container, but rather than blend it together, the cold milk and ice cemented what was left to the sides of the container. Guest guest
I suggest a HOT after drink :-)Or, when I don't have time to make an "after" recipe, I let the kids get out as much as they can with their fingers, then use hot, soapy water on high, then I take a walk to the mail box or something and go slowly, when the hot soapy water heats up even more on high - ALL butter melts off! :-) Blessings,Lea Ann SavageSatellite Beach, FL(321) 773-7088 (home)(321-961-9219 (cell)))><'>www.VitamixLady.comwww..com<))>< On Jan 1, 2012, at 3:08 PM, MO wrote: Thanks for this recipe, Lea Ann. Guest guest
My first thought was heat to melt "butter", glad I was on the right track! I guess my long years of VM'ing shows sometimes. Might have to use a little more ice, but I don't think you would have to go all the way to steaming to melt off the butter. Should be able to see on side of container when it was mixed in, is that right? I have not made nut butter, though I bought the ingredients, I feel like I am getting a slight virus (taking all my usual preventatives from elderberry to C) so I ran out of steam yesterday after making several other goodies for appetizer dinner for us and decided rest was better for me than nut butter at the time. I plan to make the nut butter in a few days. Hope your first day of the year is going well. Velda On 1/1/2012 12:34 PM, Lea Ann Savage wrote: This is a GREAT suggestion Velda!
