There are websites out in internet land that can calculate nutritional information if it is not included in a recipe book. I actually bought software that does the same thing before there were free ones on line. If you have your own recipe or one from a book that doesn't have the nutritional info included - you can find out if you want to! Try http://www.balancemindbodysoul.com/balance/campus.asp or http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-calculator.asp or http://nutritiondata.self.com/mynd/myrecipes/welcome?returnto=/mynd/myrecipes.

I'm kinda curious if you try them what you like.

Kristy the only problem with your suggestion, though well appreciated, is there are over 250 recipes in the Create Recipes cookbook and to individually look up each ingredient in each recipe and compile that information would take forever. Most of the recipes in the Create Recipes are in vitamix.com recipe section along with the nutritional values. The program Living Cookbook 2011 works really well for compiling and storing recipes. With this program you can manually type in a recipe but what is really nice about this program is that you can copy and paste a recipe in it and it will create the recipe including the nutritional information without typing anything. The data base is pretty good but sometimes the program doesn't recognize an ingredient and you have to manually add it or choose an alternative. I do have some good news concerning my Create Recipes cookbook. Last Friday I was near Vitamix so I decided to stop by but unfortunately Vitamix was closed until Tuesday. Their Outlet Store was not far so I went there. I went there if for nothing else to take a peek firsthand at the other Vitamix cookbooks. The clerk asked me if I was interested in a Vitamix but I told her I just received one and after explaining to her that the Create Recipes cookbook that came with my Vitamix didn't have the nutritional information and explaining to her how important that information was with having two diabetic grandchildren she got the manager. After the clerk told him about my plight and he came over I asked him if there was a reason why the cookbook I received didn't have the nutritional information as the Whole Food Recipes cookbook especially since the two cookbooks are basically the same. The Create does have two different chapters and instructions for the Professional Series but after that they have both have exactly the same recipes. He didn't have a good answer but he then asked me what I wanted and I told him the Whole Food Recipes cookbook so I could easily look up the nutritional information. He was a little hesitant to give out a $50 book but after I thanked him and I was about to leave he changed his mind and gave me the book. They also gave me a Vitamix spatula and it is a handy thing to have. I was also able to look at the Live Fresh Recipes cookbook at the Outlet Store also and it doesn't have nutritional information either. The Whole Foods cookbook came in handy today too. After I cooked our New Years traditional dinner I made the Strawberry Lime Sorbet (without the lime because I didn't have one) on page 242 for dessert. It was a big hit and with the nutritional information at hand my daughter easily directed her daughters' to make their insulin pump adjustments. After making it my daughter told my son in law she wanted a Vitamix for next Christmas.
