For those of you who haven't gone to Dr. Shoemaker, what have you done and how?? We treated immunologically. And my daughter has allergic fungal sinusitis. She had to have sinus surgery a few times. But now, she uses an antifungal nasal spray. It works miracles for her. As far as me, I was on antifungal oral meds and nasal spray for quite some time along with a mold free diet and avoidance. I am pretty near to 100%. But that is us. Many are having great success treating from a toxicological standpoint, as I understand it. Guest guest
I have not gone to Dr Shoemaker, but my dr knows his work, and gives me script for anything I want, most notibly, cholestramine. We spoke earlier this year I think about the dangers, not to mention the cost of those allergy shots- they will not help you if you are suffering from mycotoxosis. Have you taken the VCS test on the internet? do you have a script for Cholestramine? do you follow the no-amlose diet? Have you eliminated all your exposure to toxic mold ? these are the things that will help you, not those stupid shots. > > On Tuesday I took my copy of " Mold Warriors " to my doctor (the same doctor who initially diagnosed me with mold growth in my sinus and ear) and he shrugged me off. I really thought this doc would " get it " ! My GP doesn't want anything to do with it and I do not know of any docs in Nebraska that will help me. Do I just start calling around and asking if they have read " Mold Warriors " ? My insurance company isn't going to pay for several visits for the same thing. > > Any input would be appreciated. Guest guest
I did take the VCS and failed it. I am no longer in the toxic environment. I do not have a script for CSM, but I am working on it and I haven't been on the no almose diet but I will be checking it out. Thanks for your response . Guest guest
, You need to find a Dr that is open to helping you the way you need to be helped. If this person that you are seeing is not going to do that then you must find someone else. If the shots are making you sick, then you need to make a decision whether or not to stop them. There are Dr that will help. Many of us have gone through MANY Dr to find the right one. Follow your instincts about your health! It is your body, your life not a Dr's. Guest guest
I hope there is a particular circle in hell for allergists- they, IMO are the worst at only seeing illness only from their point of view- I told my allergist many times that I was suffering from mycotoxosis- no, everything is allergy- I would like to take a series of paitients to see him, I bet no matter what they were suffering with he would treat them for allergy- first holding them upside down to empty their pockets > > I did take the VCS and failed it. Guest guest
I am sorry to hear about your bad reactions- it's of course the mold in the shots....I wish drs were not so closed minded, but here they have a lot of help from the 600 pound gorillas going about intimidating them into following their " standard of care " , whether they like it or not. I too, could not tolerate the shots by a regular allergist. I just got so sick. The high muckety-mucks in Mn have it in for anyone who practices environmental medicine, and lets hope their influence ends soon. There are no longer ANY environmental doctors in the state of MN. I ended up in Wisconsin at an environmental allergist who uses drops- sublingual. They work the same way, but are MUCH more dilute, I don't know if there is a way to figure out by how much. He put me on oral antifungals, I guess he doesn't use the nassal sprays- I should ask. I am no longer in bed, (most of the time) thanks to him. But, he also underestimates my reactivity. I finally figured out what the deal was with that- which was exposure to mold in the environment, which sets me off. www.allergychoices.com there is a listing of doctors who have taken training from him in his methods, although it is not an endorsement. I am sure I would benefit from a toxicology approach as well, but this is it for me right now. So far, I am continuing to improve. Many, many people end up traveling to see someone. I put it off for years- now I kick myself. I could have saved my health much sooner...... > > On Tuesday I took my copy of " Mold Warriors " to my doctor (the same doctor who initially diagnosed me with mold growth in my sinus and ear) and he shrugged me off.
