Could Mold Be Making Children Sick At Local School?

WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Pennsylvania Department of Health found mold

spores inside Trinity West and North Elementary Schools in August.

The mold was discovered along duct work before the school year began.

Last month, school administrators voted to hire a company to remove

the mold.

School leaders had told parents the mold count is lower than it is

outside the school and that the mold had been contained until it can

be permanently removed.

An environmental expert also said there are no major health issues

for children.

Parents believe what is left behind is making their children sick

and not enough is being done to remove the mold.

On Tuesday night, parents can question environmental experts about

the mold.

The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at the Trinity Middle School

auditorium.
