Guest guest
Re: Need suggestions for dealing with cedar lined closet--seal, remove cedar, line with foil? Our 60-year-old home in central Minn. has 2 large closets lined with cedar planks. Despite their age, the cedar smell is still quite strong. We have kept the closets empty and closed for the 8 years we've lived here. Two people in the house are sensitive to chemicals and to cedar. We would like to make these closets useable. Any suggestions? Should we remove the planks? Seal them with AFM Hard Seal sealant? Cover them with heavy foil and foil tape? All of the above? Is it even possible to get rid of the odor and use these closets? Thanks in advance. I will be unable to check e-mail for 3 days. , Minn.
