Of all the things out there that need to be fixed this is a relatively minor

complaint but it's bugging me so here goes....

This is my son's second year in junior high. Overall, we've had a good

experience in our dealings with the school administration, teachers and staff.

We'll probably stay another year in this building before moving to the high

school. So generally the environment is welcoming and inclusive.

There's a school-wide pep rally before the kids leave for Special Olympics

Summer games. The principal comes to area and state competitions - even the

one that is 100 miles away. This is the first year they've had a basketball

team to participate in the Winter games. The girls basketball team scrimmages

them for practice.

Not one picture of any of it in the yearbook. grrr

I've mentioned it to the resource room teacher who is our daily contact for

relating information etc. and I've sent her pics to forward to the yearbook

advisor. Let's hope that's all it takes.

I was the yearbook editor for the last 4 years at our elementary school. Over

that time I had so many parents wondering why their photos weren't included

while others were. Many times it was because I never received them. If I were

you I would not rely on a middle man. Get the contact information for the

yearbook editor and deal with her directly. Find out her submission guidelines

and deadlines (our deadline is always late March for our June yearbook delivery,

so end of the year events can't be included). Also, try to make sure that the

photos are a decent quality for reproducing (lighting, focus, dpi, etc.) Good

luck!
