Guest guest
I don't know what state you are in but I got more our of calling the county than the Health Department. I had several moldy rentals. The first time I called the Health Department. They came out and showed me where the mold was growing in the basement. I could smell something but couldn't see any mold. They didn't do anything else but show me the mold and tell me how to clean it. When we were in another place that had a roof leak and the odor was getting bad we called the county and they were ready to condemn the place. They made the landlord repair the roof or they were condemning it. We were moving anyway and got out of there. I would take a sample of the mold that you can see above the window. Just put on some gloves and a mask and cut a small piece(in my case it was a powder and I scooped up some of the powder. Put the piece in a plastic bad and label it sample 1 or whatever and put the time and date and a witness watching you and have them sign it also. Just in case you later want to try to get some recovery back from your landlord-- even though it can be difficult. I would get all the evidence possible, pictures, plus take pictures of the place before you leave to show you left it in a clean manner. They will fight you all the way. Good luck. Guest guest
I am sorry to tell you this, but your daughter could die from this fungal exposure. Babies exposed to this kind of thing often develope bleeding lungs, which kills. There are many reports of this- there was an epidemic of it in Cleveland, I think. No matter what the health dept finds or doesn't find, you need to get your daughter out of there as soon as possible. She can be permanently damaged from this. No matter how much it costs you to get out of there, it is worth your daughter's life. Not to mention yours and your husbands. She needs to have both of her parents, as healthy as possible. Best Wishes, --- In , " dirty_little_feet " <sarahmarnick@y...> wrote: > > Hi everyone.
