Guest guest
Hi Harper I personally think the hep doc is just keen to find another angle for his studies. I normally see my family doctor every 6 - 8 weeks for blood tests and if something shows up at the tests he phones or I go see him next day. About twice a year I am supposed to call in the hepatologists outpatients dep. at the uni teaching hospital, together with my blood results and any other reports from my familiy doc. Since I also work at the same hospital, my office is a few doors from the hepatology unit and next to the medical research library, I see my hep doc almost daily. I have been fairly run down in recent months with diarrhea and weight loss and I also noticed that some of my toe nails were cracking and he has now organised a whole round of appointements for me, one of them with the dermatologist. He and his team at the hep unit really got their teeth into AIH, I think, and since all these studies on budenoside which were (and still are) carried out in recent years in Europe and elsewhere (one of them here) did not come up with dramatic results, he started listening to me again. I am not expecting anything outstanding, but what the heck, it's been years since I saw a dermatologist, maybe he has nice journals in his waiting room...
