bad genes?

I just got the results of my HLA test. From what I can interpret, it

seems I have the genes for both Mold and Post Lyme susceptibility. For

those that know what this means, is this pretty bad?? I have no typical

Lyme symptoms but I will get tested nonetheless. Does this mean I have

a chance at getting rid of my MCS????!!!

Please email me direct if you have any comments, or ideas on testing

and/or treating a potential very latent Post Lyme case.

Thanks!!!

Things like that could definitely become an issue when seeking

employment or insurance.

Read between the lines. There is a big push going on for genetic

testing and collection of historical health data. (What diseases your

parents and relatives had, etc.

There have been discussions about laws that would require people to

disclose this 'assymetrical information' on insurers application

forms.

Thats what this whole push for medical IT is all about. They aren't

admitting it, though.

Both insurers and employers want to be able to cherry-pick customers

and employees who (they feel) will cost less in benefits, etc.

Many in Europe say that medical IT and private for-profit 'insurance'

are basically incompatible. I think that they are right. The two

together smacks much too much of eugenics, and its nasty and

terrifying history. Lets not forget the mistakes of Social Darwinism.

(the American movement of the early 20th century that Hitler viewed as

his inspiration.)

No genes are 'bad', IMO.

We don't know enough about the genome to say things like that.

Its like breeding square tomatoes with a shelf life of a month. Sure,

supermarkets might like them, but somewhere in that process, you end

up losing all the flavor... ;)
