Hi Kat, I take neurontin for the pain in my legs and back. My legs are so

swollen, the size of a tree trunk, from lymphederma. Two months ago my hip

joint started slipping and is causing terrible pains up and down the leg and

siatic. This goes along with Myasthenia Gravis, just one of my illnesses.

For my Fibromyalgia pain I take 150mg of ultraum a day. I have always been

able to tolerate the pain because it would come and go in short spurts and I

really didn't suffer. All of a sudden I am in constant pain and can no

longer just get by therefore the pain pills. I have really gotten relief

with the neurontin. I have been amazed with this miracle drug.

Carol, I don't feel hung over. I have been in a better mood and have been

teasing and joking around with the family. Much better than tearing up all

the time. I am always tired, I have several meds that make me drowsie, but

before I would be drowsie, but couldn't sleep. Now I am sleeping and the

pain isn't there to wake me up. What wakes me is being thirsty. Hope this

answers your question.

due to my liver disease and my choice because i am a 19 year sobewr and

clean addict-I am so afraid to take a lot of things esp when they give me

the sleepy feeling , because I drank and used to sleep life away years

ago. I am not familiar with the drug and appreciate your answer carolyn.

I didn't read the entire article that my son posted, but he said that some

people retain water with neurontin and the more water you drink the less it

holds. It does make you thirsty. I keep two large glasses of water with me

all the time. I take water pills also.

I am beginning to feel the same way Kat. It is really helping me. I am very

light headed tonight. I am hoping that it isn't the neurontin causing me to

be. When I find something that I can take and get relief it is a miracle.

There are very few meds out there that I can take. I have to be so careful.

The Dr. said to me, " You scare me. " We are on guard all the time.
