Guest guest
FYI, Was asked this question off board about what to write when you go to Congress.org and click on " Mold and Katrina, Who is Watching the Hen House? " Hi Sharon, Maybe the person that said it was too complicated meant they didn't know what to write. You are great at writing. Maybe if you typed up a letter and people could just fill in their names or whatever then more people would send their stories? Just a thought. I loved what you wrote and really liked that you mentioned Brown. I am waiting for a reply from him about our lawsuit. He is helpful with advice but not helpful at all with taking any action against anyone. What I would write would probably be different than what many others would write. We all are impacted by the denial of mold induced illnesses as being real, however we are all impacted differently. For example, those who cannot receive fair settlements in construction defect cases because they are not able to prove the health damages that have been done to their families as a result of the construction defects, are different from those who are having difficulty with their worker's comp claims because of the denial of the legitimacy of these illnesses..... are different than those who are tenants who are not able to receive compensation for their lost health from landlords, etc. This is how they are controlling all of the financial liability, is through the medical community. In particular, the CDC. No matter where you were made ill, if can't prove you are ill, you can't collect for damages. So...if your doctor is being fed a bunch of propaganda that says you are a whiner and a liar only out to get money or you need psychiatric help for your hysteria about mold, there is a good chance he is not trained to acknowledge your illness is real. This is why so many of us are treated with total distain by the doctors who we ask to help up. And this, in hand, limits the liability in the courtroom and in worker's comp claims. One of the things about effective marketing, is to keep it simple and stick to a soundbite mantra. So, what I would encourage people to write, would deal with the medical communities denial of our illnesses as legitimate and how difficult it is to find a doctor who knows how to help. How many of us have seen numerous doctors before we really found someone to help? How many of us have been treated so shabbily by the medical community? This is where we need to focus in order to win this war!!! Here are two examples of soundbite mantras strategically placed as the final sentence in the document: From the ACOEM Mold Statement-final sentence -_ " Current scientific evidence does not support the proposition that human health has been adversely affected by inhaled mycotoxins in homes, schools or office environments.â€_ (file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Sharon/My%20Documents/The%20Lies%20Behind\ %20The%2 0Toxic%20Mold%20Issue,%20August%202005/exhibits/pg%2021%20ACOEM%20Spin%20Sente nce.txt) From the National Association of Realtors website Mold statement - final sentence - " Thus the notion that 'toxic mold' is an insidious secret 'killer', as so many media reports and trial lawyers would claim, is ‘Junk Science’ unsupported by actual scientific study.†It would be my suggestion to write about how we are: 1.concerned for the victims of Katrina 2. sick from where ever 3. not able to find medical help 4 the impact on your life 5. we need an investigation of the CDC as to why the medical community is not being trained 6. End it with the catch phrase - " It has long been known that molds and their toxins can cause serious illness in humans. The CDC has perversely allowed financial interest of some to be given indecent precedence over the welfare of others who have been made ill by mold in the buildings of stakeholder industries " . If anybody wants to edit #6, go for it. Let us know if you come up with a better mantra. Keep it as short and sweet as possible
