Guest guest
I had no luck w/ dat bc my tone is never consistant. I got very frustrated w/ repeating myself and saying " scratch that " I just gave up. Now, I scan. Maybe once I start school they'll send a tech to figure out something better for me. ~s, GRADUATE of Class 2002~ " Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes l ife meaningful. Guest guest
Tom, What version do you use? We used dragon for teenagers it worked ok. My son 12 did a lot scratch that's (lol) and it took him longer to write a report. Then I told him to just say what he wanted and go back and correct it later. That helped a little bit. I am glad it is working great for you. It seems to work better for adults for some reason. Maybe voice tone. Guest guest
Hello , My version is 6, the preferred edition. It hardly makes any mistakes. It does make some, but it is surprising me. I expected to be really frustrated and I'm whipping around everywhere much faster than I used to, I used a mouse with Wivik (an on-screen keyboard). I'm still going to use it though, because I don't want to lose the strength that I have in my hands. But I recommend this to anybody that has difficulty typing and limited movement. :-) Tom Dragon >Date: Sun, 18 Aug 2002 11:33:02 -0500 > >Hello, > >I was just wondering if any of you use Dragon Naturally Speaking? Guest guest
I use ViaVoice Professional with a Telex M-560 directional microphone. I like this desktop mic a lot better than my old headset cuz I'm not tethered to my computer desk. I usually type though for short notes cuz the kids make too much background noise... > Hello, > > I was just wondering if any of you use Dragon Naturally Speaking? Guest guest
what is the advantage to buying dragon naturally speaking prefererred 6.0? as it is a LOT more expensive than Dragon Naturally Speaking Standard 6.0 and Dragon Naturally Speaking Essentials 6.0 also in the text to speech bit where it will read out text to you, can that text be an instant message someone has just sent you or a message to you through mirc, or is it only able to read out more traditional text, eg a word processed document or a web page? cheers linda Re: Dragon > > > > I use ViaVoice Professional with a Telex M-560 directional microphone. > > I like this desktop mic a lot better than my old headset cuz I'm not > > tethered to my computer desk. Guest guest
which dragon dictate do you use? and can yours read text out verbally to you from mirc? cheers linda Re: Re: Dragon > I use DragonDictate, I've had no trouble using it with mirc, MSN messenger, > messenger, AIM, or ICQ. > > Kathie > > In a message dated 8/20/02 5:04:03 PM Central Daylight Time, > annaquay@... writes: > > > > could someone tell me if via voice or dragon works for instant messaging, in > > particular for mirc and msn messenger > > > > cheers > > linda > > > > > >
Guest guest
Preferred does more like Excel and stuff. You can also move the mouse by voice. I'm not sure if the others do that. Guest guest
Hi Larry, We have been using Dragon for several years and dictate all PI and WC exams and reports. It works well and can be very quick compared to my typing skills. The more you use it the more accurate it gets. Guest guest
Sure am glad I don’t have allergies. I do have to reread and correct during cold season, but still beats my typing skills by a mile.
