My white blood cells have gone up and had reached exactly at the lower end of the normal level, hehe.... platelets back up too. Hence, the doc is quite sure that I have had a viral fever, that's why the counts went down. however, my ANA[anti-nuclear antibody] is 1/400 nucleolar, which according to the lab, is weakly positive. The doc initially wanted me to see the rheumy I had seen before, but after learning that it will take almost 2-3 months to get an appointment to see him, she decided against it. She feels that my ANA results is quite insignificant. She has fixed another appointment to see her in Dec. So till then. However, as I will be seeing my endo [whom I trust MUCH more] coming Thu, will let him know about this, and see what he says. Thanks so much for your concern! He read the results and told me that it does look like a viral fever. As for the diabetes, well HBA1C went up to 7.1. DOc removed the Diamicron/Gliclazide and replaced it with Novonorm/Prandin/Repaglinide. Now I am on Avandia and Repaglinide. Ling Re: Re: LING Oh, I was just curious... Had great fun performing in the concert for the children! About the Prozac, you mentioned that it can be nasty. I heard about it too, but just cannot remember what it was about. If you remember, can you please enlighten me? The school term will be until late November. THen we have the holidays. However, I will be quite busy as my school is closing, and will be merged with 2 other primary schools. Hence we will all be very busy preparing for the move. As for the headaches, well............. frankly, just 2 days after switching from Faverin to Prozac, I started to get those headaches again the moment I wake up. [rebound headaches???] Now it is slightly better, but the headaches seem to be coming regularly again. I would have liked to have seen it ) It sounds like something that should be done here in the U.S., The children would surely Love seeing the teachers and adults having to do something for them, It all sounded so beautiful... Duh me, Of course you don't have Thanksgiving in Singapore ) Its an American Holiday, But then Canada has Thanksgiving also, only on a different day... It is always the last Thursday of the month in November, here in the States... So it sounds like the Holiday time for you and ours is the same ) Its already getting cold here... we got down to 34* F last night... Brrrrr thats cold to me... ((( Many Children's Hugs ))) Helen Hi Helen, Children's Day is a school holiday for primary school kids. We celebrate the occasion on the eve of this day. ON the eve, the children will receive gifts from the school as well as from their teachers. In addition, the highlight is of course, the Children's Day concert, where the adults [teachers, principals] will perform for the children. This year, my school concert consisted of a short play, [directed by me, hehe! I acted too........], a dance, and the singing of nursery rhymes. THe nursery rhymes were chosen and sung by the teachers, while a few teachers will act when the song is done.For instance, when the song 'Three Little Ducks' was sung, our Vice-Principal acted as the Mother Duck while 3 other male teachers acted as the baby ducks! I really enjoyed myself that days. The school term will end in late Nov. I'm sorry, I do not celebrate Thanksgiving, so I do not know exactly when it is! We celebrate Christmas in my family though.
