Their home was condemned when an inspector found mold in the basement that posed a health risk to their boys, ny, 3 and Mark, 2. The family has found a new home, but the cost of the move, including doling out money for a security deposit and the first and last months' rent for the apartment, has left them short on cash. They are doing their best to provide for the boys, but buying Christmas presents will be difficult, they say. You can help the family have a Merry Christmas by making a donation to the Santa Fund. Money collected for the Santa Fund is distributed to local needy families through the Salvation Army and Family Services. How to Get help Call the Santa Fund line at (978) 686-8688, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The lines may be busy, so keep trying. How to give: Donations may be sent by mail or in person and are accepted in cash, check, VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Donations can also be mailed to: Eagle-Tribune Santa Fund, 100 Turnpike St., North Andover, MA 01845 or 181 Merrimack St., Haverhill, MA 01830. Have a story?
