Yes, I agree with Janet. It is astonishing how few people really know

how broad our training and scope of practice is. Getting more

certification and training is more than a little defensive. I would

rather we proactively advertised as a state how broad our skills and

training is.

It is time.

And since our scope of practice is very broad and because not

everyone can be an expert in everything (except for the all-knowing

MD...sarcaism) it is important to refer within the profession when

appropriate.
