Dear ,

It seems to me that we need to work to maintain the rights of all licensed

DCs, whether they have a diplomate in nutrition or not, to utilize nutrition

and lifestyle counseling. We have a good amount of training in those areas

in college, many more hours than MDs do, and they will be allowed to do

nutritional and lifestyle counseling. Most of us who have been in practice

for more than 10 years have certainly logged a number of hours in

nutritional training, however we may be unable to document those hours. We

know we are qualified to help in these arenas without the diplomate....let's

not make it so we all have to go and attend a lot of courses we really don't

need.
