Dr. Shoemaker's Book

I have been reading Dr. Shoemaker's book thanks to Sue (SSR351) from

our group. She was kind enough to drive to my house and bring me the

book to read and also brought lunch. It was so comforting to meet a

member from our group. She is very nice and we hit it off right

away. We could have talked for hours about MOLD.

I have been enjoying the book and I can see so much what he talks

about in my illness. I have always had a high white blood count

every time they checked. I have suspected that my white blood cells

have been working overtime plus so much what he talks about regarding

the immflamation, blood clotting, etc.

I still have alot to read but just wanted to mention it and also tell

everyone about my meeting with Sue. It is nice to know that she is

not that far away and we can get together and help each other.

I know that we all have to do what we can to get better and we are

all different. I hope some day I can see Dr. Shoemaker, but I have

no insurance and can not afford it right now since I had three moldy

places and we took a financial hit-- especially when my husband got

ill and we lost our insurance.

Now my mom is living this nightmare but she atleast doesn't seem to

be as bad as I am as she can still go out whereever she wants without

too much trouble. She does have alot of problems, but atleast she

doesn't seem to have the mcs thing that I have even though she does

have some difficulty with fragrance products. She does do the

allergy shots and seems to feel better when she does get her shots,

but I didn't do very well with the shots. I think my body had too

much infection for the shots. I would get the shot and get rashes so

I had to stop. Just wanted to tell you about my meeting with one of

our own from the group and to say I am enjoying reading Dr.

Shoemaker's book. It is comforting to read someone that does get

this illness.
