Guest guest
That’s right, we should tax every business that participates in activities that aren’t healthy or aren’t good for the environment. We should tax gun smiths because guns kill people, we should tax drug companies because drugs can kill or make people unhealthy, we should tax garbage companies because they fill the land fills, we should tax people who breath out CO2 (a pollutant) because they contribute “global warming”, we should raise taxes on people who drive gas cars, we should tax ammunition producers because bullets kill people, we should raise taxes on power companies because the damns kill Salmon, we should tax alcohol producers because of alcoholism and abuse, we should tax pornography because it leads to attachment disorders, abuse, and violence. Lets think about what else we can tax. Farms that raise animals because they produce methane (another “green house” gas), people who fart because they produce methane, telemarketers because they increase stress and blood pressure, commercial fishermen because they cause problems for marine life, the state of Washington because Mt. Saint Helens produces CO2, loggers because they kill trees which keep global warming at bay, condom companies because people can get sexually transmitted infections even when using a condom, plastic manufactures because plastic fills landfills, restaurants because they use unhealthy fats in their food, sugar companies because they make people fat. Surely we can tax our way out of every problem that ails society or maybe we should educate ourselves as to why the United States of America is the greatest nation in the world. The later would be my recommendation. The constitution is a great place to start reading, then try The Federalist Papers, and for simple explanations of the proceeding try The Making of America: The Substance and Meaning of the Constitution by Skousen. Another great one is The Wealth of Nations by Adam . Lets conquer ignorance together, Nuttall
