I tried that living in a tent but I could not find a warm place which was not also a moldy place, such as Florida. > The camper that I " tested " and used to recover in 1998 went " bad " on me. Touring a RV wrecking yard, I found that the type of materials lend themselves to mold growth and are designed in such a way that remediation is impossible. I was ferociously disappointed and determined that this should not happen again. After scrutinizing the materials and construction methods of new RV's, I didn't find any that I consider to be trustworthy. So I designed and built my own out of special materials that can be remediated from the interior - if necessary. It has worked so well that on the old IAQ list a couple of years ago, I proposed that the group should collectively ask RV manufacturers to design an " MCS/MOLD special " for all the desperate mold victims that I could see were just about to emerge from the moldy woodwork. There is really no other truly effective means of suppying desperate people with reliable options, as Dr Klein describes in his many moves through multiple motels before finding a suitable " safe zone " . I believe it is a testament to the IAQ's lack of appreciation of the serious difficulties involved in surviving extreme mold reactivity that no response was made to my suggestion. Had this been implemented, it would have been a terrific option for people who now have none, except perhaps a tent. -

Did you give out this info before on another list, or somewhere? What you built it out of, etc? Just wondering. I am not in a position right at the moment to take advantage of the info, but was wondering if I could look it up for a good read.

I asked the other day about how he was able to buy a motor home. I believe that many of us could profit from the experiences of the people here who have gottten better but it would be good to hear how you did it. I have gotten much better by taking needed vitamins & minerals (AllOne vegan powdered supplement) for over a year, also took some enzyme/herb formulas for liver and adrenal support. This was for the problems from the massive candida, which did help my energy, but it was after I started the diflucan that it really helped. Then the probiotics really kicked in, and worked, which they had not before, I was too far gone. Also I needed desensitization, which I get from sublinguals, which work very well. I have had both shots and sublinguals. I had so many problems from the shots, since living in this house (I didn't know there was mold in it), I could not tolerate them at all. Before I lived in this house, I tolerated them just fine. Now I take Flax oil to help rebuild the nerve damage; the diflucan, and the drops. I think it was all helpful, since I continued to be exposed to mold in the home while trying to manage getting rid of it, (and trying to avoid exposure), but finally getting it all out is the best part. Avoidance is ideal.
Guest guest
I am in no way better but I will tell what helped for me. I have had this illness for about as long as (7 years) funny seems like I have heard many that have been ill for about 7 years. One thing that a doctor told me as long as you are in a moldy environment no amount of surgery, medicine will get you better until you are away from the mold. I had to move 5 times in the last 7 years so I am not budging until someone shows me someplace with out mold or chemicals. Fragrance is my main problem here. Never thought I would leave the mold and have to breath these chemicals all the time. I can atleast walk a good hard walk in the summer and take a good swim without any problem at all. I could even walk in the heat. But I couldn't even have the ac on this summer cuz of fragrance and had to buy a portable unit with a dehumidifier eventually. I have had sinus surgery that went ok but I still had many moldy places after the surgery. The surgeon told me to use saline spray so that is all I use cuz I have tried all the others with not much luck. The chemicals bothered me. I took Diflican for about 8 months and that helped alot but then I had to stop cuz of the expense when we lost insurance. I tried the allergy shots but always had rashes so I had to stop. I am allergic to candida albicans to it is very difficult to get rid of the yeast but I try. I had to stop the inhalers cuz it causes the yeast on the tongue. Sometimes my tongue is cracked and hurts and very white patches on it. I tried the yeast diet but got down to 95 lbs so I had to go off to gain weight. I do take flaxseed oil cuz I thought it would help with constipation and dry skin. Now I am waiting for a miracle.

I just put the suggestion forward, describing the need for such a custom RV decon unit, thinking that those who deal with moldies would instantly recognize that this would be a valuable tool for getting people out of agonizing pain with greater predictability. Remediation can " go bad " and I thought that remediators who were conversant with the possibility of negative consequences would perceive the benefits of having a " Portable Plan B " available. I imagine there must be more than a few people who would jump at the chance to get themselves reliably mold free - at least for a while, to see if it helps. -

I've been making a point of celebrating my recovery by climbing Mt Whitney every year. Seven times so far. That's how long it has been since I learned to ESCAPE living Hell. -
