Guest guest
This is a good true story that was posted at the mcs site. Some of you have heard of her I am sure. It is a movie called Tomato Effectthat is finally going to be out in early 2006. Thought I would post it for those interested. http://www.rabble-rouser.com/about.html This girl got a grant and made this movie that is about to be released. It will be shown to congress and others. I will send the recent release she sent. Sounds very interesting and since it is a true story about a mountain climber. Clip- It's the ten-year anniversary of my father's death in a mysterious mountain climbing accident and The Tomato Effect begins at a trailhead in the high sierras of California. Maps are examined, supplies checked, and backpacks heave-hoed into place. Bristling with nervous energy we hit the trail. At last, I've mustered the strength to begin an investigation into the circumstances of my father's death and Leonard Daughenbaugh, from Search and Rescue, has agreed to take me to the spot where he recovered his body. Despite local authorities ruling my father's death an accident, conspiracy theories bloomed overnight and persisted. This was partly because when my father was killed, there was only one witness.another climber who was a stranger to our family and friends.and some felt his story was suspect. But also fueling these suspicions was the terrible timing of his death. When he died, my father, Zane R. Kime MD, had been practicing Environmental Medicine and had become embroiled in a huge lawsuit that threatened the vested interests of the chemical industry. A precedent setting decision was pending. However, with my father's death, the case was dismissed and the threat eliminated. When my mother hired a private investigator to explore the matter further, the other climber threatened to sue us.and then disappeared. Guest guest
, Thanks for posting this information. I've spoken to Faun several times and they are shooting for a release in early January. Below is an email I had received with some other information. KC From: Faun Kime November Announcement Subject: The Tomato Effect News Date: Mon, 14 Nov 2005 11:37:36 -0800 Thank you to all of you who have signed up on The Tomato Effect website and have patiently waited for additional information about the film. I'm pleased to announce that we've locked picture....The Tomato Effect is finished! A series of pre-release screenings in several states across the nation will begin in January 2006. These screenings are especially exciting because they will be co-hosted by several wonderful organizations, which will bring additional attention to the issues that are addressed in The Tomato Effect. I feel strongly that my film should be used as a tool to change public policy! Below, please read about these important organizations with which we will partner. These alliances will begin to pool our efforts...together we are more powerful. In the coming weeks, I will send out screening announcements as well as information about how you might get a copy of The Tomato Effect. Warmest Wishes, Faun Kime Filmmaker --------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- THE TOMATO EFFECT PARTNERSHIPS National Foundation for Women Legislators (NFWL): http://www.womenlegislators.org/ **This non-profit organization has a world class membership of prestigious legislators at the state and federal level. After viewing The Tomato Effect, NFWL has committed to co-host screenings for their senators and members of congress. Of course, the general public will be invited as well. The American Association of Health Freedom (AAFH): http://www.healthfreedom.net **Last week, Sen. Tom Harkin re-introduced the American Association of Health Freedom's federal bill called The Access to Medical Treatment Act. This is an ambitious bill that Rep. Burton and Rep. DeFazio were behind last year. Screening attendees will be asked to consider supporting this important bill. Read more about it at: http://www.healthfreedom.net/AMTA/more.asp California Citizens for Health Freedom http://www.citizenshealth.org/cancerbill.htm ** Cuny, the executive director, has been instrumental in passing powerful legislation in California to protect doctors practicing alternative medicine. He is now working on an exciting new bill called " No Harm. " It simply states that if a physician hasn't harmed a patient, her license should not be revoked. This would protect most physicians diagnosing chemical sensitivity as most of them have never had a patient complaint nor a malpractice suit. The Freedom of Health Foundation http://www.thefhf.org n Whitaker is a force to be reckoned with in the area of alternative medicine. He's a champion of my film The Tomato Effect and a powerful ally to both patient and embattled physician. --- In , " ldelp84227 " <ldelp84227@a...> wrote: > > This is a good true story that was posted at the mcs site.
