Guest guest
That's the hard part. You have to read the book and understand as much as you can so you can explain the illness. Make an appointment with some different Drs. and see if they are open minded enough to at least listen. It may take awhile but there has to be someone in your area that thinks outside their little box!!! Sue How do you find a doctor in your area that follows Dr Shoe's protocol??? Guest guest
When I took my CSM 4X a day I would set my alarm and take it very early in the AM sometimes even at 2 or 3AM. I mixed mine up in little kid type sippy cups with the lids & straws removed. I left it in the bathroom or by my bed so I didn't have to mix or go to far for it. Then if you have any other meds to take you can do that at least an hr. later. By mid morning or 1/2 hr. before lunch I took another dose. Then another late afternoon or about an hr. before dinner. finally the last one around 10PM. You can eat 1/2 hr. after taking CSM or wait an hr. after eating. taking other medication is the same. I also use the little sippy cups to take it with me where ever I go. One with the CSM and one with water. Mix them up before you go out then throw them in a plastic lunch bag and you're ready to to. Hope that helps. Sue BTW, (thank God), I started CSM yesterday, will let people know if it is helping in a couple weeks. It is definitely doing something. How do people take it on an empty stomach four times a day. Guest guest
I vaguely remembering that activated charcoal and/or 'pectin' could help with some biotoxins in some contexts. But use that info as a starting point, don't rely on this information. BTW, (thank God), I started CSM yesterday, will let people know if it is helping in a couple weeks. Guest guest
Thank you, Sue, this is *exactly* what I need to know.. Has anyone noticed that it seems to (maybe) release some toxins in you while it works? (or something) because I have found it makes it hard to sleep. But if I need to take it at night as well as day to get as many mycotoxins out of me, as I can quickly, I will. Gladly. Maybe its wishful thinking but I was thinking today that I def feel a little bit better even though its just the third day.. Not getting the ringing in my ears at the usual time either.. (although that may be the fact that it rained the other day and that its colder which may have cut down on the mold for a time) Thank you everyone for the GOOD advice I have gotten from all of you. Guest guest
CSM does grab cholesterol- I don't see any reason you can not de-tox with it for several weeks- Dr Shoe gives it to all for that length of time When I took my CSM 4X a day I would set my alarm and take it very early in > the AM sometimes even at 2 or 3AM. Guest guest
Serena, I am half way through the book & have not seen him discuss alternatives to CSM for removing the mycotoxins at all. I am reading now about different stories of mold illnesses. No one has discussed using anything else on this board. I think you should refrain from judging me. I'm really sick like alot of people here & just looking for answers. Loni SERENA EDWARDS <pushcrash@...> wrote: Loni, it's been suggested to you several times now by several different members that you read Mold Warriors. I recall that you said you do have a copy, and that you intended to read it. If you do read it I think you will find that most, if not all, of your questions will be answered. Then you will have a grounding and a place from which to explore possible alternatives, if that is what you want to do. You should remember that not all of the people who tell you they are taking CSM have ever seen Dr. Shoemaker or even had all the lab work done. Some have seen Dr. Shoemaker, but don't follow the protocol as given. Some will discuss treatments that Dr. Shoemaker is giving them which may not apply to you at all. You won't have any ability to know what is what until you get more information, and it's way too much information to deliver on a chat board. In any case, if you want the real information, it is all right there in the book. Best to you, Serena Rosser <rossercustomhomes@...> wrote: Does CSM also lower cholesterol. Guest guest
ssr3351@... wrote: Yes, CSM is a medication used to lower cholesterol but Dr. Shoemaker uses it to remove toxins I have had CFS for 30 years and I think the mold started two years ago. Before mold, I was on a stealth virus list which Dr Shoemaker posted often. I first learned of CSM Before the mold and I took it for about three months. I think I bought it from a pharmacy in the east. It didn't help my CFS symptoms, he thought it might help for the ciguatera epitope which has been found in the blood of PWC's (people with CFS). I have not taken it since the mold symptoms started. Does it work to remove mold and other fungus? I got a presciption from my CFS doc in Dallas back then. I have forgotten what the prescription needs to be for and the pharmacy that Dr Shoemaker had make CSM without sugar. Will someone plese tell me what I need the prescription to say and where to fax it? I am leaving the KOA in Van Horn in the morning and heading back to my mobile home. It is much different here now than whenn I was here in the fall. Very windy, dusty and cold at night. I bought 7 more of the ozone lite bulbs today to be shipped to my mobile home and hope they will be there when I arrive. I will try them and be getting my personal things out in case I get ill again and I can put it up for sale then leave!! My CFS doc trust me and will usually give me a prescription for something but he is back in the Dallas area so hopefully I can get a script for CSM when I return. I once got Dr Shoemake to send me his paperwork he wanted filled out before an appointment. That was so complicated that everytime I started trying to fill out, I got a headache and I finally gave up. I ordered his book but then left and it was returned to Amazon. Will someone please tell me if there are things my CFS doc can treat me with besides CSM? Guest guest
Thank you. My concern is that it would lower my cholesterol too much because it is already low 127. So I was hoping that there was an alternative to taking the toxins out of the body. Mold Warriors does not really talk about any alternatives that I can see. Has anyone out there been successful with something else? Maybe I could take it short term but first I need to find a doc to precribe. Did you find that it did lower your cholesterol & how much? Thanks for the info. Loni ssr3351@... wrote: Yes, CSM is a medication used to lower cholesterol but Dr. Shoemaker uses it to remove toxins and it does an excellent job.
