Guest guest
Very, very, very cool Danno...thankyou so much for posting this. Ok, may sound "cornball" and maybe it's easier for the likes of me you "lobbyist" who "glad-hands" all the time but, in every airport (usually the case) or whatever venue when I see servicemen/women....I have made a point to actively walk over to them...shake their hands and say "thank you for your service to this great country!" Funny it's true how so many people are thinking the same thing they just don't act, last time was at the SanFran airport a couple of months ago. I was sitting at a small bar waiting for my flight to Eugene having a beer (or two!) and two servicemen walked up to the end of this small bar to get something (no seats were left). So, I pushed my bar seat back and walked a couple steps over stuck out my hand and loudly said thank you for your service to this great country. Then I looked towards the bar and each one of the guys sitting there all started raising their drinks nodding in agreement.....guess ya had to be there but it was cool....made me feel darn good (and no it wasn't just the beers ha!). thanks again Danno! Vern Saboe What a great idea!!! > > Have you ever seen one of our military walking past you and wanted to convey to them your thanks, but weren't sure how or it felt awkward?> > Recently, a gentleman from Seattle created a gesture which could be used and has started a massive movement to get the word out. Please everybody take just a moment to watch..... The Gratitude Campaign ...and then forward it to your friends!> > > > http://www.gratitudecampaign.org/shortmovie.php> No virus found in this incoming message.
