Guest guest
Hello all, There is no milk in coconut milk. What they do is actually cook the coconut meat with water, etc., and then squeeze out the liquid, which is what they call coconut milk. I don't know if they add other ingredients to make it creamy, because when you do this at home, it's not creamy like the stuff you get out of a can. Instead, I make the lye with half the water and mix it with the oils. Then, I add the coconut milk. That way, it doesn't heat up so much or affect the color. I don't think coconut milk does those things as much as goats milk does anyway. If so, are there any particular considerations that need to be made in using it such as does it cause overheating, should the mold be insulated etc etc... I have been cleaning cupboards and realized I have a dozen cans of the stuff and thought that perhaps it could be added to the soap cupboard. Thanks in advance for your input! **************Start the year off right.
