Carl, I think one thing that needs to be changed regarding new

construction and air quality is how they put cooking vents, bathroom

vents and laundry vents in townhouses and apartments right by the

windows. I guess in the old days the laundry rooms were downstairs

and the vents were not everywhere. Now with everyone having a dryer

in many new apartments and townhouses the vents are by every window.

I can't tell you how difficult it is living with asthma or reactive

airwayss disease and constantly being hit with chemicals from people

taking showers, cooking or doing laundry. They need new legislation

or something to change at least for new construction where they place

the vents. I can't imagine having a baby in a room with a crib by the

window and the door closed and the window open and all the chemicals

that come into the room. It is overwhelming. This is probably a

cause of SIDS and asthma in so many people. Just my suggestion for

change.
